Don’t worry, you don’t really need to know all of these methods. Dip nails are pretty easy….if you can paint your nails, you can dip them!
THAT SAID, if you want to delve deeper and play with different application methods, here’s a few to try.
DIP METHOD
The classic…dip your nails in the dip powder at a 45 degree angle.
LAY METHOD
Rather than dipping, lay your nail on top of the powder.
SCOOP METHOD
Rather than dipping, scoop powder using a small tool like a cuticle pusher, on top of your nail.
APEX METHOD
This method gives your nails beautiful shape and avoids unsightly flatness (especially with longer nails). In this method, you build a nail apex by starting with a thin strip of base halfway down the middle of your nail, far from all edges. With each dip, your base application gets wider and higher. At about the 4th dip, you will have reached the hair breadth’s width from the cuticle.
